How to turn your journal into a photobook
Make a digital Photo Book from your journal photos in Inpages. Choose a journal, add and reorder photos, and revisit a trip or season in a book of its own.
You can make a digital Photo Book from photos already saved in an Inpages journal. Choose a journal, add photos to the book, and arrange them in the order you want to revisit. This is a book to read on screen; Inpages does not offer printed book ordering.
How to create a Photo Book in Inpages
- Add photos to memories in the journal you want to use.
- Open Photo book, choose New Book, and select that journal.
- Click a photo in the source panel or drag it into the book sequence.
- Reorder the pages to tell the story. You can remove pages from the book too.
- Add background audio if you want it, then choose View Photobook to read the book.
If the source photos are protected, unlock your private vault to use them.
An example: a weekend away
Imagine a journal with entries from a weekend trip. You might start the Photo Book with the train window, follow it with a street you kept returning to, and end with the kitchen table when you got home. This is an example, not a customer story.
You do not need every photo. Choose the few that bring back the place and the people. Keep the longer story in the original journal entries, where your photos and words stay together.
Start with one journal
A Photo Book draws from the journal you choose when creating it. A trip, a year, or a family season gives you a useful starting point. Read how to combine photos and text in a journal if you are still gathering those memories.
Change the sequence as you go
Try a time order first, then move photos if another order makes the story easier to follow. You can edit the book and remove pages; making a Photo Book does not make your memories permanent or stop you editing them.
Choose the membership for your collection
Essential costs US$1/year and includes one journal and one Photo Book. Premium costs US$39/year and includes unlimited journals and Photo Books. Choose Premium if you want separate books for several trips or seasons.
Compare memberships before subscribing, or see an example of organizing several journals to decide whether you need more than one.
Make something you will return to
A useful book can hold ordinary moments as well as milestones. Read photobooks as a life archive for ideas about what to keep. For a local copy of your data, review the journal export guide; the export is separate from the on-screen Photo Book.
